Mint Chutney

This is a recipe from my mom. It is flavorful and packed with healthy ingredients that aid digestion and reduce inflammation. The chutney can be used as a condiment, a sauce, a dressing or a marinade.

  • 1 bunch Mint leaves
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro stems and leaves (chopped)
  • 1 Raw mango (peeled and sliced)
  • 1 Small Tomato (chopped)
  • 1 Gooseberry
  • 1 Ginger - ½ inch piece
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Juice from 1/2 Lime
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Green chilis (add more if you like it spicy)
  • Salt to taste


  • Blend everything together except mint and coriander.
  • Once done, add mint and coriander and blend again really well until there are no pieces left.
  • Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.
